MAXIMIZE CORE DRILLING PRECISION AND SPEED
Ensure accurate starts and efficient drilling with the Bosch HC88 5-5/16 Inch Carbide-Tipped Centering Bit. Designed specifically for use with Bosch SDS-max® rotary hammer core bits, this essential replacement pin works in tandem with the core bit's wave design to deliver superior performance. The wave design technology transfers energy to the bit more effectively, allowing for up to 40% faster drilling compared to previous designs. Whether you are boring through concrete, brick, or block, this centering bit provides the stability needed to start large holes cleanly and accurately.
Built for the professional job site, the HC88 features a durable carbide tip that withstands the punishment of heavy-duty rotary hammers. It serves as the pilot for SDS-max core bits ranging from 1-3/4 inches up to 6 inches in diameter. By integrating seamlessly with the all-in-one core bit system, it helps transmit power directly to the end of the bit, ensuring that even smaller hammers can effectively drill larger holes. Keep your core drilling operations running smoothly with this genuine Bosch replacement part.
Key Features
- Precision Starting: acts as a pilot to prevent bit walking and ensure accurate hole placement.

Pro-Tip: The centering bit is designed only for starting the hole. Once the core bit has cut a groove approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep into the concrete, stop the hammer, remove the centering bit, and then continue drilling. Leaving the pilot bit in for the entire depth can cause the bit to bind or break.
