20V XR® 6-in Random Orbit Sander (Tool Only)

The DEWALT DCW230B is a 20V MAX XR 6 inch cordless random orbital sander sold as a bare tool, with battery and charger sold separately. It is built for cabinetmakers, finish carpenters, and floor and stair refinishers who sand large wood surfaces without a cord.

Best Used For

  • Large wood surfaces: Sanding tabletops, doors, and cabinet panels, with DEWALT rating it for up to 200 square feet.
  • Stairs, floors, and trim: Moving freely around job sites with no cord to snag or run.
  • Low-dust finishing work: Connecting to a compatible dust extractor on remodels and in shops where clean air matters.

Key Performance & Safety Features

  • Fast Material Removal, Low Vibration: DEWALT states it delivers the fastest removal with the lowest vibration versus leading cordless 6 inch random orbit sanders, based on its own testing.
  • 5-Speed Variable Control: Adjust from 6,000 to 10,000 OPM (no load) to match the abrasive and material.
  • AirLock Dust Port: The port fits compatible DEWALT dust extractors, which collect up to 95% of dust (extractor sold separately).
  • Up to 41 Minutes of Runtime: DEWALT lists up to 41 minutes of runtime, depending on battery.
  • TOOL CONNECT Chip Ready: Pair a TOOL CONNECT chip (sold separately) for asset tracking.
