Mastering the Perfect Edge: When establishing a brand-new edge along a driveway or sidewalk that has grown over, don't try to plunge the blade to its maximum depth right away! Set the adjustable guide wheel to a shallower depth (around 1 inch) for your first pass to cut the main grass overgrowth. Once the guiding line is cleared and visible, drop the blade down for a second, deeper pass to create that perfectly clean, professional-looking trench without overloading the motor.
