Diablo D1632X 16-5/16" 32-Tooth ATB TiCo™ Carbide Timber & Beam Circular Saw Blade

The Diablo D1632X 16-5/16-inch 32-tooth general purpose circular saw blade crosscuts large-dimension structural timbers, slices thick Glulam headers, rips laminated veneer lumber (LVL) beams, and sections pressure-treated posts in a single pass without motor binding. Engineered with specialized TiCo™ high-density carbide teeth mounted via tri-metal shock-resistant brazing and rated for operating speeds up to 4,000 RPM, this 1-inch arbor disc features an aggressive 22° positive hook angle with an Alternate Top Bevel (ATB) grind pattern for high-speed stock removal. Outfitted with an optimized 0.114-inch thin kerf, a tensioned 0.079-inch hardened steel core plate, and a Perma-SHIELD® non-stick thermal coating, it equips heavy timber framers, log home builders, and structural framing contractors with smooth, burn-free deep cuts across large beam circular saws.

Best Used For:

  • Timber Framing and Log Construction: Single-pass sectioning and compound mitering of solid 6x6, 8x8, and 12x12 architectural timber posts and roof trusses without rotating the workpiece.
  • Engineered Beam and Header Breakdown: Slicing dense micro-lam stock, laminated veneer lumber (LVL) headers, Parallam PSL beams, and multi-ply Glulams with clean, splinter-free end cuts.
  • Heavy Decking and Marine Post Fabrication: Ripping and crosscutting dense pressure-treated pilings, structural wood foundation posts, and heavy hardwood timbers cleanly.

Key Performance & Safety Features

  • TiCo™ Hi-Density Wood Carbide Tips: Formulated specifically for high-stress wood applications to withstand extreme cutting pressures and abrasive glues in engineered lumber.
  • Alternate Top Bevel (ATB) Geometry: 32 precision-ground teeth shear cleanly through natural grain fibers and dense adhesives for fast, low-friction stock removal.
  • 22° Positive Hook Angle: Aggressive cutting angle provides rapid, self-feeding forward feed rates through heavy-gauge timber stock.
  • Perma-SHIELD® Non-Stick Coating: Thermally bonded barrier shields the blade against friction heat, gummy resin buildup, and atmospheric corrosion to prevent thermal warping.
  • Optimized 0.114-Inch Thin Kerf: Removes minimal wood volume to decrease horsepower strain on large beam saws while maximizing feed control.
  • Tri-Metal Shock-Resistant Brazing: Multi-layer silver-copper-silver brazing allows carbide tips to absorb high-impact mechanical stress without shearing off the plate.
  • Precision-Tensioned Steel Core: 0.079-inch hardened steel plate ensures true tracking and prevents blade wobble during heavy, full-depth beam cuts.

Pro-Tip: When making full-depth single-pass cuts through dense 6x6 or 8x8 Glulam beams, let the saw reach full 4,000 RPM and maintain a smooth, steady push without rocking the saw base; this keeps the wide 16-5/16-inch plate perfectly square in the kerf and eliminates side-friction motor drag.
