The Freud 38-612 is a 1-1/8-inch overall diameter classical cove and round router bit engineered to shape compound architectural profiles on cabinet doors, furniture edges, and custom millwork. Built with a heavy-duty 1/2-inch shank and Freud’s patented Quadra-Cut™ 4-cutter design, this tool uses two main cutters alongside two up-shearing secondary cutters to eliminate cross-grain tearout and surface fuzzing. Tipped with TiCo™ Hi-Density Micrograin Carbide and protected by a heat-resistant Perma-SHIELD® non-stick coating, it operates safely at speeds up to 18,000 RPM across solid hardwoods, softwoods, plywood, and composites in handheld routers or router tables.
