Superior Diagnostic Accuracy: The Klein Tools MM720 TRMS Multimeter with Smart Light-Sensing Display
The Klein Tools MM720 is a professional-grade, automatically ranging True Root Mean Square (TRMS) digital multimeter engineered to provide unparalleled precision in residential, commercial, and light-industrial environments. Capable of measuring AC/DC voltage up to 1000V and current up to 10A, this versatile tester is a must-have for identifying complex electrical issues. Its standout feature is the high-visibility reverse contrast LCD, which utilizes an integrated optical sensor to automatically adjust brightness—ensuring crystal-clear readouts whether you are working in a dimly lit electrical vault or under the harsh glare of direct sunlight.
Designed for safety and performance, the MM720 includes a dedicated Low Impedance (LoZ) mode to identify and eliminate "ghost" or stray voltages that can lead to false readings. Beyond standard voltage and current sensing, this robust meter measures resistance up to 60 MOhms, temperature via the included thermocouple, capacitance, frequency, and duty cycle. Built to thrive on demanding jobsites, the MM720 features a rugged "Tough Meter" design that is drop-tested to 6.6 feet (2m) and rated IP42 for dust and water resistance. With its CAT IV 600V safety rating and ergonomic industrial housing, it delivers the laboratory-level data required for certifying electrical system integrity.

Pro-Tip: Ghost voltages are often caused by the capacitive coupling between energized wires and adjacent dead wires. When checking for the presence of power in a conduit where wires run parallel, always use the LoZ (Low Impedance) mode first. If the voltage reading disappears in LoZ mode but was present in standard mode, you are likely dealing with a ghost voltage rather than a live circuit.
